The people who have been involved in the HERCULES project:
At the University of Canterbury:

- Graeme Kershaw (Mechanical design and construction)
- Nigel Frost (Fibre feed module design and construction)
- Ross Ritchie (Fibre feed module electronics)
- Geoff Graham (Control software)
- Stuart Barnes (Postgraduate student)
Additional optical design and all optical manufacturing was done outside Canterbury:
- Garry Nankivell (design and most of the manufacturing)
- Norman Rumsey (some design)
