Background

Annalie emigrated to Christchurch from Cumbria in the UK in 2009.

She completed her BSc(Hons) in Physics with Medical Applications at the University of Newcastle-upon-Tyne and then worked as a trainee Medical Physicist at Hull Hospitals NHS Trust.  After completing the Grade A Training Scheme (with MSc Medical Physics at Leeds University) she commenced the second part of the Training Scheme at Cookridge Hospital, Leeds, UK, specialising as an Oncology Physicist.

In 1999 Annalie changed career path to work at Sellafield nuclear reprocessing facility and the nearby Low Level Radioactive Waste Repository site providing radiation protection and safety advice.  She continued to work there until returning to medical physics in her current role as Radiation Advisory Officer at Christchurch Hospital Medical Physics and Bioengineering Department.
